(Los Angeles, CA) – November 8, 2019 – Blue Élan Recording artist, SCOUT DURWOOD, has been nominated for a Streamy Award for “Best Indie Series,” within the Indie Series Category. A seasoned cabaret singer, SCOUT released her debut studio album, Take One Thing Off, with Blue Élan Records in 2017. Based on the original music, Take One Thing Off developed into a twenty-two episode digital series combining music videos and narrative sketches, recounting the story of Scout’s life as the existential odyssey that it is. The series has amassed nearly 200,000 views on YouTube.
SCOUT hosts a monthly ‘Everybody GoGo’ neo-cabaret variety show/dance party. Each event features some of the biggest names in musical and alt-comedy, variety, drag, magic, and burlesque. The party takes place on the second Tuesday of every month at The Virgil LA (4519 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA).
New music from SCOUT DURWOOD includes “A Marshmallow World” which will be digitally released on November 8th as part of a series of singles Blue Elan is releasing for the holiday season. She is currently working on her second studio album with Blue Élan Records, set to release in the spring of 2020.
SCOUT is a Los Angeles-based comedian. She starred in MTV’s scripted comedy series Mary + Jane as well as Oxygen’s Funny Girls, a docu-series following the lives of six female stand-up comedians.
